π Electronics Research? π
For the past couple of years, I’ve been interested in doing some sort of research specifically for Microelectronics. Plenty of professors on my campus do have experience and are willing to help any student who is interested- but there is one issue. I keep holding back on asking.
So in my university, we have different communities dedicated to specific majors. I’m in the Innovation community with all the engineering and computer science students. Every once in a while the community will hold an event where a group of the professors from our University will come to talk to us and answer questions regarding our major, what we can do with our degree, and what it’s like to be a professor. A couple students including me were interested in a couple of research topics ranging from prosthetic to Microelectronics (me). Each professor said something different but the one thing they said in common was, to ask. Email them, ask questions, meet up. I have tried this before but unfortunately for me, every time I decide to email one, something comes up: I remember an assignment I have to do, have second thoughts or a decide to do it later.
At the end of the event, I spoke to the Professor who seemed to be in charge, he was an EE Professor with plenty of research under his belt. He gave me a list of the people on campus who had experience with what I was interested in. Till today I haven’t contacted any of them but who knows? maybe I’ll do it this week? Anyways, that’s all from me and remember, Stay Techy!Β π
