First Week Recap
Its been a little over a week since i got back to Georgia Southern. I cant say it was what I expected. I came in with a clear purpose of what I wanted to accomplish. So far I have come close to keeping on track. There are still many distractions around me. New roommates, Project Ideas, Friends, and many other things. On the bright side, i have managed to withstand my urges and continue on the right track. I make sure to turn in assignments at least 2 days in advance, Spend at least 5 hours in the library each day, and I’ve started reading this book i have been looking forward to: “Exploding the Phone: The Untold Story of the Teenagers and Outlaws who Hacked Ma Bell” By: Phil Lapsley. The books reviews the time when Landlines were the prominent form of communication. Teens would go around the city “Phone Bombing” which caused a lot of issues for many people. I greatly recommend giving it a read.

As for Projects, I have tried to keep my mind focused on school but I have had time to think about what I’m going to include in my N64 Portable. I’ve decided to go with a Sub D9 Serial Cable as a breakout for Composite and Stereo Out, and the player 2-4 Ports. I may not use an integrated expansion pack, but rather a port to put one in. I will use the standard 18650 Batteries, a 4.3 inch TFT LCD, and an audio tapped pot amplifier. One thing I’m extremely excited about is using a Nintendo Switch Joycon joystick as the portables joystick rather than the stock N64 stick. It looks much nicer and has a better feel to it.
For the following week I have a couple Goals:
1. Get at least 30-45 minutes of exercise each day
2. Finish my book
3. Meet with my College study group at least once.
4. Ace any exams
5. Cut down on eating
These goals are pretty reasonable but wont come easy. I’m sure ill be able to accomplish each of these with determination and a clear head. Anyways, until next week, Stay Techie!
