College, Projects, and Anticipations
I’m writing this from the front seat of my packed car. Today will be my first day back at Georgia Southern this year. I’m not entirely sure how it will go but I do know it has to be much better then last semester. I’ll continue to blog at least once each week to give updates on any projects, work, or classes.
I’m excited to say I’m finally starting my core EE classes.ย Program Design and Intro to Computer Engineering have been theย two main courses that I had been looking forward to for the longest time. Since I have background in programming C and designing circuits on Eagle and KiCad I should feel right at home here ๐.
For the time being I’ll have to put a hold on the amount of projects I want to do. I’ll only be doing one over the course of the entire semester. With that said due to the course load I have, I’ll only be able to spend 2-3 hours a week on it. The project, I won’t fail to mention Is the N64 portable V2. It will have many improvements, including better battery life, aย smaller form factor, a toploading cartridge slot, 5 inch tft screen, and original controller buttons the case will be 3D printed like before but painted over with a glossy white finish. One main new feature is the use of a D9 connector to be used as a break out box to enable 2-4 player mode and the ability to use composite and av out allowing it to display on a tv. I’m pretty excited to start. The only issue like stated before is the amount of time I’ll have each week to put into it. Then there Is also the fact that my CAD designer, who is still in high school has to spend most for his free time in robotics club. So I wouldn’t expect there to be much progress until late February to early March. Nevertheless I’m sure it will turn out amazing.
I think that’s about it for now. I’ll make sure to keep you all posted in the future ๐.
